20th Federation Cup: Odisha Women Athletics bring Glory

Women athletes from Odisha, won three gold, two silver, and one bronze medal in the 20th Federation Cup National Senior Athletic Championship-2016, held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi.

Srabani Nanda won the gold medal with a timing of 11:39 seconds while Dutee Chand won the silver clocking 11.41 seconds but they failed to meet the Olympic qualifying time.

While, Purnima Hembram added gold medal for the State by scoring 5713 points.

Jauna Murmu won a gold and bronze medal in 400 metre hurdles and 400 metre run clocking 58:60 and 52:40 seconds respectively.

They were happy with their performance and medals because there was tough competition.
