Online Sale of Liquor to begin in Odisha from Today

The Excise Department Secretary Bishnupada Sethi on Friday announced that online sale of liquor will start at Chandikhole depot from today.

The retailers can purchase liquor online from April 1, 2017, Sethi revealed.

The demonetisation of currency notes has severely affected the sale of liquor across Odisha.

Sethi said the excise revenue has declined by Rs 20 crore this year as compared to last year.
