War of Words intensifies between BJP & Dama Rout

Insight News Desk: The BJP Mahila Morcha has asked Odisha Minister and veteran BJD leader Dr. Damodar Rout to apologise for his alleged derogatory remarks against Lekhashree Samantsinghar within 24 hours or face protests.

While hitting back at Lekhashree, who called him ‘Shikhandi’, Dama Rout termed her as “Swami Chhadi, Anganwadi”, which means abandoned by husbands, women join Anganwadi.

Claiming that the BJD leader has gone insane and mental, BJP leader Pravati Parida sought an unconditional apology from him within 24 hours and warned that BJP would launch a state-wide agitation if he fails to do so, as the comment has hurt the sentiments of Anganwadi Workers in Odisha.

Earlier today, Dr. Damodar Rout had taken on Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Modi Govt saying they were responsible for the drought situation in the state as they failed to stop Chhattisgarh from carrying out its monopoly on Mahanadi river.
