ONI Bureau: Indian sprinter Dutee Chand set a new National record in the women’s 100-metre race by clocking 11.29 seconds in the semi final at 58th National Inter-State Senior Athletics Championships 2018 in Guwahati on Friday.
The 22-year-old Odisha sprinter has broken her own national record that she had created last year with a timing of 11.30 at the Indian Grand Prix, New Delhi.
The final round will be held at 7 PM today. The timing for Gold is 11.20 seconds, sources said.
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik congratulated the ace sprinter for making new national record.
