India beat Sri Lanka by 278 runs, level Test Series 1-1

AshwinColombo, Aug 24: India bowled out Sri Lanka for for 134 runs in the second innings to win the second Test match by 278 runs at the P Sara Oval ground here on Monday.

Sri Lanka were 130/9 at lunch with India needing just a wicket to level the series and the hosts could add only four runs to their total after lunch. With the win, India level series at 1-1. Sri Lanka had won the first Test in Galle by 63 runs. The third Test will begin on August 28.

For the visitors, off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin returned figures of 5-42, while his-teammate leggie Amit Mishra grabbed 3-29. (IANS)
