India demolish Pakistan by 5 wickets in Asia Cup T20

India registered their second successive victory in Asia Cup T20 with a comfortable five-wicket victory over arch-rivals Pakistan. They had beaten hosts Bangladesh in the first match.

Unable to face the sharp Indian bowling attack, Pakistan bowled out for a meagre 83 in 17.3 overs. Sarfraz Ahmed was the top scorer with 25. Hardik Pandya took three wickets for just eight runs. Ravindra Jadeja took 2 wickets for 11 runs.

In reply, India lost three quick wickets, but Virat Kohli held the forte and played with tremendous determination against a hostile pace attack. India reached 85/5 in 15.3 overs and won the match by 5 wickets. Kohli scored 49. Mohammad Amir 3/18 and Mohammad Sami 2/16 were the top bowlers for Pakistan.
