Mohali ODI: Rohit hits 3rd ODI Double Hundred; India 392/4

ONI Bureau: Skipper Rohit Sharma hit his 3rd ODI double hundred, as India posted a mammoth total of 392/4 against Sri Lanka in the second ODI in Mohali. It was Rohit’s 6th ODI hundred in 2017.

He is the only batsman in the world to score two or more ODI double hundreds. Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Chris Gayle and Martin Guptill are the other players to score 200 or more in ODIs. Rohit also holds the record for highest score in an ODI innings – 264.

Earlier, Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to field. India posted 392/4 in 50 overs. Rohit remained unbeaten on 208 off 153 balls with 13 boundaries and 12 sixes. Shikhar Dhawan (68) and Shreyas Iyer (88) were the other top scorers. For Sri Lanka, Thisara Perera took 3 wickets.

As Sri Lanka lead the three-match ODI series 1-0, India need to win to bring the series alive.
