Vijay hits 150, Dhawan 173; India 462/6 on Day 3

Murali-Vijay-BangladeshMurali Vijay’s 150 and Shikhar Dhawan’s 173 helped India reach 462/6 at stumps on Day 3, which was marred by rains. Only 47.3 overs were possible today. At the end of 3rd day, only 103.3 overs could be bowled. With around two out of three days being washed out and more rains predicted over the next two days. a draw could be the ultimate result in the one-off Test match at Fatullah.

When the day started today, Indian openers Shikhar Dhawan and Murali Vijay resumed from 239/0 and took the score to 283. After Dhawan’s departure, Rohit Sharma (6) and Virat Kohli (14) did not last long. However, Vijay and Rahane added 114 runs for the fourth wicket.

Ajinkya Rahane played a brilliant innings, but was out for 98 and missed out on a hundred. He faced 103 balls. Shakib Al Hasan took four wickets for Bangladesh. At close, Ashwin and Harbhajan were batting.
