World Cup: South Africa crush Ireland by 201 Runs

South Africa produced another brilliant display to register a massive 201-run defeat over Ireland in a Pool B match of the 2015 ICC World Cup. They also became the only team in ODI history to score successive 400+ scores.

Thanks to Hashim Amla’s 159 and Faf du Plessis (109), South Africa posted 411/4 in 50 overs. David Miller (46*) and Rilee Rossouw (61*) were the other top contributors. Andy McBrine took two wickets for Ireland.

In reply, Ireland failed to show any resistance and bowled out for 210 in 45 overs. Andrew Balbirnie (58) and Kevin O’Brien (48) were the top scorers. Kyle Abbott took four wickets, while Morne Morkel took three wickets. Dale Steyn took two wickets. Amla was declared ‘Man of the Match’.
