—–   The Supreme Court upheld the constitutional validity of Aadhaar and said that it empowers the marginalised sections of the society. However, it ruled that the Aadhar is not mandatory for school admissions, mobile phone connections, for obtaining a new SIM card but it mandatory for PAN linking. Supreme Court says, “the government needs to ensure that illegal migrants do not get Aadhaar card”.
