347 candidates file nominations for the second phase of polls in Odisha

In the second phase of polls for the upcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Odisha, a total of 347 candidates have filed nominations. The nominations for the second phase ended on Tuesday.

Polling would be held for five Lok Sabha seats and 35 Assembly seats in Odisha on April 18. Namely, Aska, Bargarh, Bolangir, Kandhamal and Sundargarh Lok Sabha constitutes will go under polls in the second phase.

In total as many as 302 candidates are in the contest for 35 Assembly seats while 45 for five Lok Sabha constituencies. Statistically, Odisha has 21 Lok Sabha and 147 Assembly constituencies, which will face concurrent polls in four phases from April 11.
