Supreme Court cancels AIPMT 2015, orders fresh Exams in 4 Weeks

The Supreme Court of India has scrapped the All India Pre-Medical Test 2015 examinations and asked the CBSE to conduct fresh exams in four weeks. The decision was taken following the alleged malpractices in Haryana.

The AIPMT results were slated to be declared on June 5. However, the SC had stayed it after it came to light that as many as 700 students receiving answer keys through mobile phones. In total, at least 6.3 lakh MBBS aspirants had appeared in the tests.

The Haryana Police had told the court that 12 persons have been arrested in the case and 25 students have been identified as beneficiaries of the alleged racket. The answer keys of 123 questions were transmitted through 75 mobile phones in Bihar, Jharkhand, Rajasthan and Haryana.
