AMRI Hospitals, Bhubaneswar hosts “AMRICON – Anaesthesia Conclave”Bhubaneswar, 2nd Nov, 2015: AMRI Hospitals, Bhubaneswar, the Super Specialty Hospital from AMRI Hospitals Ltd, has hosted the “AMRICON – Anaesthesia Conclave” a conference of anesthesia for specialists & trainee PG students of anesthesia from 31st October ~ 1st November 2015 here. This was the first of its kind of workshop organized in Odisha by the Department of Anaesthesia, AMRI Hospitals, Bhubaneswar.

The focus of the conclave was an advanced airway management. There was also a workshop for delegates for Advanced Airway Techniques including fibreoptic intubation, video laryngoscopy, supra glotic airway techniques, surgical airway & recent advances. These techniques were demonstrated on special mannequins with hands – on- training for the trainees in the workshop.

The training was imparted by renowned national faculties who shared their expertise in these special areas. Dr. Arun Maheswari, Chairman & HOD Cardiac Anaesthesia, Sir Gangaram Hospital, New Delhi, Dr. Jyotsna Goswami, HOD Dept of Anaesthesia and Critical Care, Tata Medical Center, Kolkata and Dr. Arvind Arya, Associate  Prof.  of Anaesthesia of Institute of Human Behavior & Allied Sciences,  New Delhi shared their know-how in the conference and workshop.

We believe that this symposium is going to benefit the discipline of anaesthesia to a great extent in the medical service of Odisha benefiting the patients of this region.”

Dr. Arun Maheswari, renowned national faculty said , “Events of this nature enhance the quality of care delivery to the patients in difficult situation in the operation theatre and ICU..”

Dr. Saktimaya Mohapatra, Organizing Chairman of the Conference conveyed gratitude to all the faculties, participants for their support and co-operation.  The workshop and conclave was organized by the Dr. Deepankar Padhiary and Dr. Gaurav Agarwal – organizing secretaries of the Session.
