BPUT organises Workshop on Soft Skill Development in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, Sep 1: A workshop on Soft Skill Development was organized by Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), here on Monday. The workshop was inaugurated by Minister of Skill Development and Technical Education of Odisha government, Sanjay Kumar Das Burma. He also inaugurated first ever newsletter of BPUT –“BPUT Connect”.  More than one thousand students participated the event.

In his address, Minister said that Odisha government had been focusing on streamlining of professional education. He said that a successful education pattern includes quality of education, timely examination, good results and placements upon completion of professional courses. He expressed his happiness for the being here to addressing the students of the premier institution. The minister also said that the state government might consider setting up a Skilled University.

On the occasion, Registrar of BPUT, Prof. M. Altaf Khan presented the brief profile of the university in this welcome address. Prof. Shyam Sundar Pattnaik, Vice Chancellor of BPUT focused on technical education in Odisha while addressing there. The event was attended by many scholars and dignitaries.
