NTPC celebration of National Safety Day

NTPC Talcher Super Thermal Power station  celebrated National Safety Day on 4thMarch 2015.Chief Guest of the occasion, Shri.N.K.Kothari ,Group General Manager,Talcher Kaniha on this occasion unfurled the safety flag. Later safety oath was administered to the assembled participants. This year National Safety Day theme was “build a safety culture for sustainable supply chain”

Shri Kothari addressing the gathering stressed on eradication of unsafe safety practices and awareness to be developed for prevention of accident and to achieve the target of “zero accident”.  Safety banners, posters and slogans displayed at various strategic locations to spread the awareness of safety messages & measures. Surakhya Jyoti Awards were awarded to  best three agencies from Boiler & Maintenance Dept(BMD)  & Electrical Maintenance Dept(EMD).

Six best fire personnel for contributing towards Plant fire safety activities and 20 best safety conscious workmen from different agencies were awarded during the safety day celebration. Shri U K Dasgupta,GM(Maintenance) ,Shri.V.A .Rao ,GM(Operation) ,department HOD’s along with AC,CISF & CISF personnel  were present on this occasion.
