Scuba Diver Sabir Bux confers Kuni Chitrakar-2015 Awards
Bhubaneswar, Sep 21: Three time Limca Book record holder & Popular Scuba Diver Sabir Bux conferred ‘Kuni Chitrakar-2015’ Awards to 9 child artists at Orissa Modern Art Gallery, here on Sunday. The award function was initiated and organized by Bhubaneswar-based non-profit organization “Soumya Memorial Trust ” (SMT) in collaboration with Enigmatic India (An Organisation works for Wild Life Conservation). The awards comprise citation; Enigmatic Tiger face printed Handmade Notebook & Animal Calendar. Excluding this the Trust also announced to provide free Art Coaching to 3 ‘Kuni Chitrakara’ at Orissa Modern Art Gallery for 1 long year. And one Child artist’s painting will get space in Enigmatic India’s Coffee Mug.
Earlier on Sunday SMT organized a Children’s Painting Exhibition at Orissa Modern Art Gallery. In this exhibition SMT showcased art works of more than 100 child Artists. In this exhibition child artists portrayed art works on “Our Birds & Animals”. Scuba Diver Sabir Bux lauded for award winners for their exceptional painting and competitive skills, as well as dedicated focus. The entire Modern Art Gallery was on its feet clapping for Kuni Chitrakars when they received the awards. Children also enjoyed Photography on Scuba Diving & under water sea.
This year SMT felicitated one Young & dynamic Artist Rajiv Dey for his outstanding interest & contribution in the field of Art Education. Young artist Rajiv is a very passionate painter from his childhood days.
Soumya Memorial Trust, chairman Mr. Kanhu Charan Parida noted: “This award programme recognizes the efforts of these children who has demonstrated a unique approach for our great culture and arts. SMT celebrates with their ideas and innovation that drive growth of Odia culture.”
It may be noted that on Sept 13th 2015 (Sunday), Soumya Memorial Trust organized a painting competition for “Kuni Chitrakara” at Orissa Modern Art Gallery. More than 100 children from different schools participated in this competition in three different categories & this is the 4th year of Kuni Chitrakara as Trustee of Soumya Memorial Trust Mr. Bhabani Mohanty said.
