Women’s Forum distributes Blankets at Night Shelters

A Bhubaneswar-based social organisation, Women’s Forum – Justice for Women, which works for the women’s rights, women empowerment as well as justice for the destitute, has distributed blankets to the poor and homeless in Bhubaneswar.

More than a hundred of blankets were distributed to the poor staying at night shelters near Ram Mandir and Railway Station in Bhubaneswar on Monday in the presence of BMC Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena. Social Activist Rama Krushna Dakua, Lokonath Das and Dr.Bhasakar Hira were present during the blanket distribution.

The blankets were mostly donated by the team members and their well wishers apart from some kind hearted citizens. Over hundred of beggars and physically challenged people were benefitted by the social organisation.

Among others, Chairman of the organization, Dr.Sipra Hira, Vice Chairman Usha Nair, Snigdha Mohanty, Soma Mitra, Subhadara Mishra, Sandhya Das and Corporator Bhanupriya Das were present at the occasion.
