Odisha cuts down Stamp Duty for Women from 5% to 4% on Housing Sector

With an aim to empower women, the Odisha Government on Wednesday cuts down stamp duty for women in registration of land & houses from 5 per cent to 4 per cent.

The revised stamp duty will be applicable on purchase of land and houses in names of women or gift deeds of immovable property.

The rate of stamp duty in Odisha was generally 7 per cent and it was 5 per cent in case of women.

Lakhs of women of the State will be benefited with this revised Stamp Duty.
