30-year-old Swati Maliwal to head Delhi Commission for Women

Swati Maliwal (30), who is a former activist of India Against Corruption (IAC) and wife of senior AAP functionary Naveen Jaihind (Haryana), has been chosen to head the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW). She will replace Congress leader Barkha Shukla Singh as the new Chairperson. Swati has been working as an Advisor (Grievances) to the CM. She is a Software Engineer by profession, but left the job to work for IAC and later worked with Kejriwal on RTI and Swaraj. She is also the distant cousin of Arvind Kejriwal.
