55% Voter Turnout recorded in Bihar in 2nd Phase Polling

People in Bihar continued to vote in large numbers even during the second phase polling. At least 55% voter turnout was recorded today – 3% higher than 2010 assembly polls. Polling was held in 32 seats.

Polling began at 7 AM and ended at 5 PM. In 23 Maoist-hit seats, polling ended at 3 PM. The third round polling will be held on October 28. First phase polling was held in 49 seats on Monday, which recorded 57% voter turnout.
