Actor Anupam Khar leads ‘March for India’, calls India Tolerant

Anupam-Kher1Social media has been abuzz with hashtags such as #IndiaIsTolerant and #MarchForIndia, as Bollywood Actor Anupam Kher led a massive march from Janpath to Rajpath in New Delhi. Kher claimed that the intolerance debate by some vested interests is an attempt to maligh the image of the country.

He slammed the #AwardWapsi campaign and accused them of selective outrage. Around 100 Writers, Poets, Historians and Film personalities with Left-Congress leaning had recently returned their awards, citing “rising intolerance” in India. Their act has brought disrepute to the country on a global arena. Questions have been raised on their motive, as they never protested in such magnitude during many unfortunate incidents and heinous crimes in the past.

Anupam Kher was joined by Madhur Bhandarkar, Ashok Pandit, Narendra Kohli, Abhijit Majumdar, Ronu Majumdar, Chandraprakash Dwivedi, Priyadarshan and many Writers, Filmmakers, Painters and people from various walks of life. Similar rallies are being taken out in various other parts of India, including Bangalore, Mumbai and Pune.

March-For-India“Patriotism gives us a feeling of self worth. Join us on this historical day at National Museum, Janpath at 10 AM”, tweeted Anupam Kher this morning. A delegation will meet President Pranab Mukherjee and submit a memorandum. They have also requested the PM to listen to their voices.

It remains an open secret, people, who are spearheading the ‘AwardWapsi’ campaign, have been against BJP, RSS and Narendra Modi for long and campaigned against them in the past too. They have started a new movement to destabilise the government and create unrest in the country.
