Earthquake: 52 killed in Pakistan, PM Modi offers Help

As the massive 7.7 magnitude earthquake has hit Afghanistan and Pakistan and strong tremors were felt across India, PM Narendra Modi has activated his disaster management cell and tweeted with his support.

At least 52 people died of earthquake in Pakistan so far. Death toll may go up further. Extensive damages were reported from Pakistan and Afghanistan.

“Heard about strong earthquake in Afghanistan-Pakistan region whose tremors have been felt in parts of India. I pray for everyone’s safety”, tweeted PM Modi.

“I have asked for an urgent assessment and we stand ready for assistance where required, including Afghanistan & Pakistan”, he tweeted further.
