Modi refutes Nitish’ claims of Rs 2.70 lakh crore Package
Bihar CM Nitish Kumar had announced a Rs 2.70 lakh crore package for Bihar. Narendra Modi revealed that Nitish is quoting the central funds only. “I am happy that after I announced a Rs 1.60 lakh crore special package for Bihar, others too followed suit and talked about development. But, we need to do a reality check”, said the PM at Bhagalpur rally.
“Centre is going to offer Rs 3.74 lakh crore to Bihar over the next 5 years. And, Nitish is talking about just Rs 2.70 lakh crore. Then, where the remaining funds of Rs 1.04 lakh crore will go? Who will take that money? Will it be diverted to fodder books”, he asked.
PM Modi also slammed Nitish Kumar and Lalu Yadav for “disregarding” the legacy of Ram Manohar Lohia, Jayaprakash Narayan (JP) and Karpoori Thakur by sharing the stage with Congress, who insulted, humiliated and tortured those great leaders of Bihar.
