SC orders Bihar Govt to shift Mohammad Shahabuddin to Delhi’s Tihar Jail

The Supreme Court on Tuesday directed the Bihar Government to shift controversial Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Mohammad Shahabuddin from Siwan to Delhi’s Tihar jail within a week.

The Apex Court also ordered that further trial in the cases registered against him are to be conducted through video conferencing.

Notably, Shahabuddin is currently facing trial in 45 cases which include the murder of journalist Ranjan.
