Naidu pitches for United Front; reaching out to Naveen

ONI Bureau: Breaking News! In a desperate bid to teach BJP a lesson and keep himself relevant in regional as well as national politics, TDP leader N Chandrababu Naidu has floated the idea of a new United Front, which may take the final shape in a few weeks.

The first United Front meeting may be held on April 7 in Amaravati. According to reports, at least 10 political parties may attend the event, known as Maha Nadu to discuss future course of action.

Chandrababu Naidu is reaching out to several leaders including Sharad Pawar (NCP), Akhilesh Yadav (Samajwadi Party), Mayawati (BSP), Mamata Banerjee (TMC), Naveen Patnaik (BJD), MK Stalin (DMK), Farooq Abdullah (National Conference) , Om Prakash Chautala (INLD) Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) and Arvind Kejriwal (AAP).

It is not immediately known whether all the above leaders have given their consent to join the United Front or send their representatives yet or not. However, Naidu is making all efforts to get them aboard. The TDP has formally snapped ties with NDA today and brought a no-confidence motion against Modi Government.

It can be recalled that Naidu was the Convenor of previous United Front in 1996, but dumped it in 1998 even without resigning from the post.
