2-day Bandh hits normal life in Bolangir

ONI Bureau:   With the demand for construction of bypass in Bolangir town, the Bolangir joint action committee observed 2-day dawn-to-dusk bandh in the region, started today.

They also demanded Rs 25 lakh compensation for the kin of the Plus Two girl student who died in road accident on Wednesday.

The Congress, BJP and district private bus owners’ association were also extended their support to the bandh.

While educational establishments, shops and other business establishments have remained closed, vehicular movement was largely disrupted in the town due to the protest.
