20 Surgeons, 10 Anaesthetists involved in Jaga-Kalia Surgery

Insight News Desk: Calling it one of the biggest challenges, the authorities at the AIIMS, New Delhi revealed that 20 Surgeons and 10 Anaesthetists were involved in the phase II separation surgery of conjoined twins from Kandhamal Jaga-Kalia.

The operation began at 9:30 AM yesterday and separation was done at 8:45 PM. The plastic surgeons completed their work at 2:30 AM. The kids are kept at the ICU now. The next 15 days would be very crucial, says the AIIMS authorities.
