3 hardcore Maoists surrender in Malkangiri

Malkangiri, Sep 5: Three Maoists of Padia Naxal Dalam have surrendered before Malkangiri police today. The three hardcore Maoists were active in the district. Two out of three surrendered Maoists were carrying bounty of Rs. 1 lakh each on their heads.

On Saturday, the three hardcore naxals surrendered before the Superintendent of Police, Malkangiri. The three naxals were identified as Moka Kunjani (35), Mukund Sodi (30) and Murda Kunjani (32). They were active members of Padia Naxal Dalam in the district since 2010.

Moka Kunjani (35) and Mukund Sodi (30) have carried bounty of one lakh rupees each on their heads. According to police, they were involved in many crimes including murder, blasting of government buildings and ambush. The Maoists gave up arms alleging Maoist leaders of killing innocent people in the district. They decided to join the main stream.
