Beltikri Shelter Home Row: Dharmendra seeks Rajnath Singh’s Intervention
ONI Bureau: Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has written a letter to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, seeking Centre’s intervention in the sexual harassment of girl inmates at Dream Centre Shelter Home at Beltikri in Dhenkanal district.
In a letter to the Union Home Minister, Pradhan said that out of 26 shelter homes running under the NGO ‘Good News India’, 15 are illegal.
“Although the State Government is aware of those things, it has acted as a mute spectator”, he said. Pradhan further stated that the shelter home is also involved in forceful religious conversion and human trafficking.
