Bhubaneswar finds place in World’s Top 50 Smart City Govts
ONI Bureau: In yet another achievement for Odisha, the capital city Bhubaneswar finds place in the list of 50 smart cities Governments across the globe announced by Singapore based Eden Strategy institute.
Eden Strategy Institute on July 9, 2018 (Monday) unveiled the rankings of the Top 50 Smart City Governments globally, that analyses the diverse approaches towards developing smart cities and leading a smart city strategy across the world.
Smart City Bhubaneswar has been ranked 32nd in tie with Gujarat’s Ahmedabad. Among other Indian cities, New Delhi got 23rd spot, Surat at 27th rank, Jaipur at 34th and Pune at 36th place.
Six Indian cities emerged among the Top 50 Smart City Governments with smart city plans co-created with citizens, and supported by systematically-planned and mobilized budgets from the central government since 2015.
