The ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has formally launched a new mobile app, which will be available on Google Play (Android) platform. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik unveiled the mobile app during the state-level students’ convention of Biju Chhatra Janata Dal in Bhubaneswar.
Several BJD leaders, including Lok Sabha MP Prasanna Patsani, Rajya Sabha MP Anubhav Mohanty, Minister Sanjay Dasburma, MLA Akash Dasnayak, Chandbali MLA and Biju Chhatra Janata Dal (BCJD) President, Byomakesh Ray were present at the occasion.
BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik, who addressed the massive rally in Bhubaneswar, hailed the student power, saying the youth and students are the back bone of the BJD in Odisha and they need to be commended for raising the party to the highest level.
Over 20,000 student representatives from all over Odisha, attended the rally, which was followed by a youth convention. The BJD leaders expressed hope and confidence that the new mobile app will help the party to reach out to the tech-savvy youth in Odisha. The BJD sought to outwit BJP, which has been using technology to woo the young people.
The Biju Chhatra Janata Dal rally was significant in the wake of rising strength of ABVP in Odisha. After Amit Shah’s rally in Bhubaneswar, the BJP and ABVP have gone aggressive to expand their base.
