BJP, BJD Team visits Kandhamal

kandhamal-killingsThe ruling party BJD and the opposition party BJP visited the the terror-stricken Gumudumaha village in Kandhamal district.

The National Commission for Scheduled Tribe (NCST) Chairman and his team arrived in the State to inquire about the killing of five tribals in the crossfire between Maoists and the security forces at Krutamgada in Kandhamal district.

The two parties visited Gumudumaha village and spoke to the villagers and expressed sympathy to the bereaved families.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has begun its inquiry to submit the report to the Chief Minister and according to the report, action will be taken, said State Transport minister Ramesh Majhi.

The report will also be submitted to the Central Team. The Chairman of the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes (NCST) Rameswar Oraon will also visit the village.

Necessary action will be taken after getting detailed reports from the chairman of NCST. The State government will be responsible for the consequences as it is trying to cover up the issue, said by the Union Tribal Affairs minister Jual Oram.
