Block Grant Teachers’ agitation at Panchayat level from today

ONI Bureau:  Thousands of agitating members of All Odisha School College Teachers’ and Employees’ United Forum, who are on protest for over a month seeking fulfillment of their demands, have decided to take out rallies in all panchayats across the State from today.

As per report, the block-grant teachers will stage protest in front of all panchayat-level government offices and take out rallies in all the villages from today that will continue till September 19.

The agitators has decided for another ‘Mahasamabesh’ on September 20, and asked all 60,000 block-grant teachers to join it in Bhubaneswar.

Worth mentioning, the block-grant teachers had been demanding fulfilment of demands including equal pay for equal work , regularisation of jobs, full aid and benefits of 7th pay Commission.

The State Government earlier directed DEOs, BEOs to check attendance of all teachers/junior teachers/junior teachers and take necessary action against them accordingly.
