Breather In Motor Vehicle Act Ended, Law Enforcement In Full Force



The six-month relaxation on the Motor Vehicle Act has come to an end on Saturday, following which the State Government has plunged into action for violating the traffic norms.

In view of the amendment, RTO-I in the capital seized two buses of a private college on charges of violating the traffic norms.

As per reports, the buses were moving without the fitness certificates. Hence, the owners of the buses were imposed fines of Rs 25,500 each for violation of registration & pollution norms.

The amended traffic rules are now enforced by both the transport and police officials as per provisions in the MV Act from March 1.

As per the new rules in the MV Act, strict actions to be taken towards use of helmet and seat belt, triple riding on a two-wheeler, red light violation, over-speeding, using a mobile phone while driving, and driving while drunk.
