Chappal hurling on CM: EC transfers SDPO Laxmi Narayan Panda

ONI Bureau:  As per the directive of the Chief Electoral Officer, Padampur Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Laxmi Narayan Panda has been transferred, DG of Police R.K. Sharma informed on Thursday morning.

While, Panda has been transferred to the office of IG, Northern Range, Jharsuguda Government Railway Police (GRP) DSP Khirasagar Nayak has replaced him.

Earlier on Tuesday informing media, Padampur SDPO, Laxmi Narayan Panda said that the arrested youth has confessed to the police that he was instigated by Bijepur by-poll BJP candidate Ashok Panigrahy and two other persons of Budhapali village to hurl footwear at Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
