Chit Fund Scam: TMC MP Tapas Paul to be produced in Special CBI Court in BBSR

Trinamool Congress leader Tapas Paul arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday at Kolkata for his alleged involvement in the Rose Valley chit fund scam.

According to the information, CBI brought him to bhubaneswar last night and will apply to take Tapas on a 14-day remand for further interrogation.

Paul will be produced at the Special CBI Court in Bhubaneswar today.

Tapas Paul allegedly participated in promoting illegal business of Rose Valley & received benefits in cash, kind, CBI sources said.

Notably, the Rose Valley Group is alleged to have collected more than Rs.10,000 crores at various places across the country including Rs 450 crore in Odisha.
