Clean Sweep for BJD in Baliguda and Champua NAC Polls
Bhubaneswar, Jan 21: Poll results of the two newly created NACs namely Baliguda and Champua have been declared today. As per information, BJD candidates have captured 9 wards in each of the NACs out of a total 13 wards.
The other political parties INC and BJP won in 3 wards and 1 ward respectively in Baligudal whereas in Champua NAC, the independent candidates have won in 4 wards and BJD had victory in 9 wards.
As per information collected from office of the State Election Commissioner, counting started from 8AM today morning with adequate security in each of the NACs.
Total 20 numbers of counting personnel were engaged in presence of both General and Expenditure Observers. The General Election to both the NACs were held on 19th of this month in total 29 booths where 22,272 nos of voters franchised their vote against 83 candidates of three major political parties and independent candidates.
