Cyclone Titli: Compensation announced for House Damage, Livestock Loss

ONI Bureau: The Odisha Government has announced financial assistance to people who have suffered house damage or livestock loss during Cyclone Titli and floods aftermath.

People will be given Rs 1,01,900 per family in hilly areas and Rs 95,100 in plain areas for house building. The compensation for livestock loss would be at the rate of Rs 30,000 per cow, Rs 25,000 per bullock and Rs 5,000 for poultry animals.

The maximum compensation a person can get for three domestic animals. In addition, a compensation of Rs 3,800 for clothes and utensil loss will also be provided.

Joint Relief Commissioner Prabhat Ranjan Mohapatra claimed that energy restoration work in Rayagada and Ganjam has been completed, while some work is pending in Gajapati, which may be completed by October 23.
