Dama Rout expresses regret for ‘Anganwadi’ Remark

Damodar RoutInsight News Desk: Odisha Agriculture Minister Dr. Damodar Rout expressed regret for his comment ‘Swami Chhadi, Anganwadi’, saying it is an Odia proverb and has nothing to do with Anganwadi workers. “Although my statement was misinterpreted, I still express regret if it has hurt the sentiments,” he said in the video of 3 minutes and 3 seconds.

Dama Rout questioned BJP leader Lekhashree Samantsinghar’s comments on him and CM Naveen Patnaik and asked people of Odisha to judge it. “They call a senior Minister ‘Shikhandi’, ‘Wild Bear’ and ‘Joker’. They call a popular elected CM of the state ‘Burnt Transformer’ and ‘Dhritarashtra’. Do such remarks suit a leader from a national party. I have nothing to say if these comments are considered as appropriate”, he said.
