Drone Cameras to be deployed at Similipal soon

To ensure security of wild animals and to keep a close watch on the movement of wild animals, the Similipal Tiger Reserve authorities have decided to deploy drone cameras soon at Similipal Sanctuary in Mayurbhanj district.

According to information, four drones will be used in the first phase to cover the core areas of the sanctuary.

Regional wildlife conservator Harish Chandra Bista said, drone camera surveillance is the best way to track the movement of wild animals and check illegal activities in the forest as there have no facility to visit all the places of the sanctuary.
