EC issues notice to Naveen on Poll Fund Irregularities?

ONI Bureau:  The Election Commission on Wednesday has issued a notice to Biju Janata Dal (BJD) Chief Naveen Patnaik over poll fund irregularities, reports Times Now TV.

EC sought an explanation from BJD Chief on why his expenditure amount, that he filed to the EC, does not match the one that is filed by the party, the Channel claims.

Meanwhile, BJD Spokesperson Pratap Deb sad they have not received any notice yet and would respond once it’s officially received. He also alleged that BJP is spreading rumours and lies to mislead the public.

It is to be noted that Naveen was earlier accused of submitting a fake affidavit related to 2014 election that was misrepresenting the expenses.
