Eid-ul-Fitr celebrated with great enthusiasm in Odisha

Eid-ul-Fitr is celebrated across the state by Muslims which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan (also known as Ramzan).

Muslims wearing new clothes and skull caps offered prayers with gesture at the end of the month-long fasting at Eidgahs and mosques across the State.

Special arrangements are made in Cuttack and several other places to mark the celebrations of Eid.

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, comes to an end with Eid-ul-Fitr which lasts for a month. Muslims don’t take food and water from dawn to dusk. Besides this, they indulge in prayers and other religious activities.
