Forest Clearance not needed for 2nd Brahmani Bridge: Bikram Arukha

ONI Bureau: After Union Minister Nitin Gadkari replied to CM Naveen Patnaik, saying the inordinate delay in granting forest clearance by Odisha govt is responsible for the delay in commencement of 2nd Bridge on Brahmani River in Sundargarh, Odisha Minister Bikram Keshari Arukha rubbished the charges.

‘Forest clearance is not needed for construction of Brahmani bridge. Centre is misleading the people on this issue. They should not delay further and start construction. We are ready to help,” he added.

Earlier, CM Naveen Patnaik has written to Gadkari, asking him to commence the bridge construction work immediately or allow the state government to do so. Rourkela MLA Dilip Ray has already criticised his own party and the government on this issue.
