Former Min Jitendra Singh appointed Odisha Congress In-charge

ONI Bureau: Congress President Rahul Gandhi took a bold decision by appointing former Minister Jitendra Singh as the AICC In-charge of Odisha Congress. He would replace BK Hariprasad.

46-year-old Jitendra Singh is one of the youth icons of the Congress party in Rajasthan. He is the former Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports (Independent charge) and the Minister of State for Defence, Government of India.

Jitendra Singh represented Alwar constituency in Rajasthan. He did his schooling at Wynberg Allen School at Mussorie, followed by Bachelors in Commerce from the University of Delhi. Subsequently, he trained in Automobile Engineering from Germany.

By appointing Jitendra Singh, Rahul has proved that he believes in youth power and they would be given more importance in Odisha to revive the party, which has been without power in the state since 2000.
