Gangster Sushant Dhal Samanta gets 5-year jail term

ONI Bureau:  The Cuttack Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Court today awarded five-year jail term to notorious gangster Sushant Dhal Samanta, one of the D-Brothers in connection with two different cases.

Reportedly, the court awarded 3 years imprisonment to Sushant Dhal Samanta for illegal possession of firearms and 2 years jail term for illegal use of the firearms, along with a fine of Rs 25,000, each.

Worth mentioning, the D-Brothers Sushant and Sushil Dhala samanta were arrested in 2016 on charges of carrying out widespread network of criminal activities and both were housed in Choudwar jail.

In March, Sushant Dhal Samanta was shifted to Bolangir Jail from Jharpada jail amid tight security.
