Gangster Sushil Dhalasamanta was a BJD Cadre?

The ruling BJD, which has been targeting Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for attending gangster Sushil Dhalasamanta’s social programme and sought a reply from him over his alleged links, fresh evidences have put the party in the dock and looking for answers.

While many BJD leaders, Ministers and MLAs were part of Sushil Dhalasamanta’s programmes and functions in the past, a local newspaper report of 11th October, 2015, has clearly showed that Sushil had attended BJD’s Jan Sampark Padayatra in Cuttack the previous day.

The newspaper listed several BJD leaders and cadres, who attended the closing day ceremony of Jan Sampark Padayatra, wearing party flags and symbols. It also mentioned Sushil Dhalasamanta as BJD cadre. Several other photos of Sushil with BJD MLA Debasish Samantray are also doing the round.

Now, it’s up to the BJD spokespersons and the CM to answer whether Sushil was really a BJD cadre and whether the crackdown on his empire was part of a political conspiracy. It’s clear that he has been patronised by the ruling party leaders for long and also maintained good rapport with leaders from various other political parties, be it BJP or Congress.
