Inner inspection of Ratna Bhandar to be done after consulting Chhatisa Nijog: SJTA

ONI Bureau: The Sri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) on Monday clarified that only structural stability and safety of Sri Mandir’s Ratna Bhandar and walls and roof of the chamber will be assessed and no assessment of treasure will be done during inspection by Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) experts

However, Pradeep Jena the Chief Administrator of SJTA informed that the inspection of inner chamber of Srimandir Ratna Bhandar to be done after seeking opinion of Chhatisa Nijog and permission of State Government.

Earlier on Monday, a team comprising of a five-member ASI team and members of Sri Mandir’s core committee inspected the walls of the Ratna Bhandar from outside.
