Innocent Man Killed By Maoists On Suspicion Of Being Informer

In a horrific incident, a man was killed in a barbaric manner by Maoists under suspicion of being a police informer.

The deceased, Dhaniram Kashyap belonged to Badli village of Bijapur district on Odisha-Chhattisgarh border.

As per information, Dhaniram was previously warned to stop any contact with the police. But it seems, he didn’t pay heed to the warnings and continued his association with the police personnel. This angered the Maoists and was hence killed.

Police reached the spot on being informed and sent the body for postmortem. A probe has been initiated and investigation is underway.

Meanwhile, the incident has triggered panic and fear has gripped the locals.
