JK Paper Mill workers call off agitation

ONI Bureau:  The contractual employees and labourers of the JK Paper Mills in Rayagada called off their strike today following a tripartite meeting last night.

The plant reopened today after a successful tripartite meeting between the plant authorities, agitating labourers and district authorities on Monday night.

Worth mentioning, the contractual workers had been demanding fulfillment of a 14-point charter of demands including monthly salary of Rs 18,000, equal pay for equal work and regularisation of jobs.
