Normal life is crippled in Koraput district today due to 12-hour bandh called by Jana Surakhya Mancha (JSM) to protest against the Kandhamal firing, the shocking killing of five innocent villagers including an infant by the SOG Jawans at Gumudumaha on July 8.
The JSM members had blocked the roads and burnt tyres at different places namely, Semiliguda, Patangi and Sunki. Traffic came to standstill and silent for the bandh. Passengers are unable to move somewhere because of this bandh and waiting at the bus stand to leave for their respective destinations.
Meanwhile, the security arrangements have been beefed up in the district to prevent any untoward situation.
